Every one out of five people procrastinates so badly that it may be jeopardizing(risking) their jobs, their credits, their relationship and even their health.

This article is all about to the point analysis of different aspects of laziness and procrastination and the 100% practical solutions (research based).

You should identify your reason and act ACCORDINGLY and SUDDENLY.

Difference Between Laziness And Procrastination

Laziness:

کاہلی

It means being unwilling to work or use energy.

Procrastination:

تاخیر

When you put off activities that were planned or scheduled, means you are procrastinating.

1. Being a perfectionist

When you have high work standards and you are unable to meet the needs always (obviously you can’t be perfect every time).

You are more likely to be lazy/procrastinator.

Solution:

Rewire your beliefs. Understand that nothing is perfect. It’s just a point of view which can be one for me and different for you.

Instead, choose satisfaction over perfection.try to be better than your previous self every day. Don’t compete with your ideal self.

An study in University of Bristol :

The study observed that as the amount of time spent on internet, mainly on social media increases, the level of academic procrastination increases too. All the categories of students at University of Bristol identified this as one of the major reasons for academic procrastination.

2. Low energy levels

This can be due to different reasons. Maybe you feel low energy due to less sleep quantity. Or any medical illness is the reason of low energy levels.

If the below provided points can’t improve your condition. I will highly suggest you to visit physician.

Solution:

If it is due to your life style you must start installing these habits in you.

· Exercise daily for 10–15 minutes.

· Take full and timely sleep.

-Ideal sleeping time is 10–15 minutes before 10 pm or even 10:00 pm.

-Standard sleeping time for adults is 7–9 hour according to the national sleep foundation.

· Take breaks in between your tasks.

It is scientifically proven that taking breaks after a certain time is actually increase your energy levels.

Break time should be according to your comfort. It can be anywhere from 25–5 to 90–25.or as you find it comfortable.

; 25–5 means 5 minutes break after every 25 minute of work

· Take naps in day time (ideally after lunch).

It is also scientifically proven that every nap between work dramatically rise your energy levels.

3. Lack of clarity

Every time when you have unclear vision of what you want and why to get out of bed to work, you get lazy. Blur vision is the root of laziness/procrastination.

Solution:

If you feel same,

Wait a second

Redefine your goal of what you want actually and why.

When your realistic goal meets with your interest, there is no space for laziness/procrastination

And this takes us to the next point.

4. Work that you don’t like

It can be a serious cause among majority.

When you are ignoring or postponing the important tasks. You don’t lie down on the bed like dead body. You do something else which is unproductive or may be less productive. Like watching TV, YouTube, and Netflix or playing games or using social media.

Solution:

You can deal this in two ways.

a) Make it interesting by adding or cutting some activities.

Or

b) Simply do what you like.

Conclusion

Laziness is not a big issue to be worried about, until you are not doing anything to get rid of it for long time.

This is not powerful than you. You can easily fight and win over it if you want to.

So, see deep down in you why you are lazy and fix it.
